Ben Continues to Ride

You may remember a story last month about a young 5 year old boy who pedalled 72 km from Stoney Creek to the CN Tower. Well, here's a little update. Not long after that ride, Ben joined NCCH and has been developing his cycling skills ever since. Now, he has surpassed his record of a 72 km ride with his new accomplishment being 92 km!

Here's what his father Brian had to say in a recent email to us:
I want to thank you all again for having Ben join this club as he's really been enjoying his time learning and riding with coach Sue as she made the experience a lot of fun for him!

It's been over a month since Ben's Toronto journey, and the hot July weather made me take a pause from the long rides. Yesterday with perfect weather, Ben was determined to surpass his previous accomplishment. 92 km later we arrived at the Scarborough Bluffs from our Stoney Creek home! It of course was an all day event (8h cycling + 3h rest/food/playing at the park) Most importantly, Ben was having a great time as it is a beautiful route! This is certainly the limit I will go with him at this age. Thank you again for your support!
Reading that email was incredible news to us! Having our coaches recognized for their hard work and dedication means a lot. Seeing improvement and determination from riders such as Ben is one of the main reasons why we do what we do. We look forward to seeing what else Ben can achieve! Thank you for letting us be a part of your cycling journey!

Awesome story! Way to go Ben! Nice that he could play in parks along the way.
