Riding a bike is one of the most efficient ways to combine regular exercise with your daily routine. Once you get comfortable on a bike you can start using it to ride to the store, to work, to school, and so many other places! Once you learn how to ride you won't forget it. This also makes cycling very good for the environment.
Cycling is mainly an aerobic activity, meaning that your heart and lungs both get a workout. It is a healthy, low-impact activity that releases endorphins into your body. These endorphins help you to relieve stress and make your body feel positive. With time, this daily activity will improve your overall fitness level.
People of all ages can participate in cycling since a ride can be altered in intensity. It really is a good workout. It will increase your stamina and develop your major muscle groups. More benefits include increased flexibility, improved joint mobility, better posture, and improved balance and coordination.
You can also make cycling fun! You don't need to be stuck indoors. You can ride new trails and feel the wind as you pedal. It's also likely that you will make really good friends along the way. It makes sense right? Like-minded individuals with an interest in the same thing have a connection already. You can go on rides together, carpool to training sessions and support each other at competitions.
For the past two months, Kourtney Reich, has taken on the role of Communications and Digital Marketing Coordinator for NCCH. Her main responsibility was to create and launch our new website that you are on right now.
What started as research on which platform would best fit our needs, soon became an in-depth process of bringing our vision to life. From creating the website pages, editing their content and layouts, developing a theme, making interactive PDFs, editing videos, and writing blog posts, Kourtney has been a part of this website development from start to finish.
Now, after many meetings, work sessions and hours put into this project, we are so excited to officially launch and share with you all the hard work that has been put into making this revamped website a reality. Moving forward, Kourtney will continue to work on making our program applications user-friendly and develop strategies around our social media content.
We have met with many stakeholders, and have had excellent, and positive feedback, and great ideas and support for the future.
We are excited to publish our new website, and we hope you like it as much as we do!
Thank you to all the people who contributed with photos, videos and content, with special thanks to our Communications & Digital Marketing Coordinator, Kourtney Reich, and our hard working volunteers Katharine Short and James Chartland.
The website will be a 'live' resource with up to date news, blogs, calendar events, social media feeds, and of course how to join our great programs.
If you have any comments please let us know, if you are delighted with it, let everybody know!

It is unique to see up and coming young sportspeople be given the opportunity to train and socialize with their idols. This is mentorship at its best.
